PUBG Miramar Guide
Miramar is PUBG's 8×8 km desert map: big cities, long sightlines and ridges that decide fights. It is in the 2026 ranked pool.
Why Miramar matters
Miramar has been part of PUBG since December 2017. As of Update 43.1 it is one of the four ranked maps, alongside Erangel, Taego and Rondo, and appears in the Europe large-map rotation for normal matches. It rewards long-range shooting, careful vehicle use and good use of terrain.
Key locations
| Location | What it is | Why go there |
|---|---|---|
| Los Leones | The largest city, with shopping streets, construction sites and a golden city centre | Huge amount of loot; easy to lose fights to third parties |
| Pecado | Central town built around the region's biggest casino | Strong loot and a central position, but dangerous sightlines |
| El Pozo | Industrial and entertainment districts, including the Luchador Arena | Busy, fast fights |
| San Martin | A war-torn town with overlooks | Good loot near Hacienda del Patron |
| Hacienda del Patron | A fortified desert mansion | Concentrated loot; the gold Mirado spawns here once per match |
| Monte Nuevo | A walled town | Walls give useful cover while looting |
| Valle del Mar | Seaside town split by a bridge | Bridge is a natural chokepoint |
| La Cobreria | Shipping hub with a large rail yard | Quieter, solid loot |
| Chumacera | Abandoned factories with vertical terrain | High risk, high reward |
How to rotate on Miramar
- Use ridges, not roads. Mountain ridges divide the map. Moving along the reverse side of a ridge keeps you out of long sightlines.
- Vehicles are essential but loud and exposed. Drive to cover, not to open ground, and get out before the final approach.
- Rotate early. Long open stretches mean late rotations get picked off. Since Update 42.1, Blue Zone damage also increases the longer you stay in it.
- Hold compounds on the circle edge and let other teams cross the open desert towards you.
Loadout tips for Miramar
Long fights are more common here than on Erangel. Carry a DMR or bolt-action rifle and a magnified scope – see the weapon tier list. Smokes are vital for crossing open ground and reviving teammates; the grenade guide covers smoke walls.
Common mistakes
- Driving along ridgelines where everyone can see you.
- Over-looting in Los Leones and rotating last.
- Peeking the same rooftop or window twice.
A ranked game plan for Miramar
- Land with a vehicle in mind. Pick a drop with a nearby garage or road so you are never stranded in the desert.
- Loot for range. Prioritise a magnified scope, a DMR or bolt-action rifle and at least two smokes before you leave.
- Move on the first circle. Head for high ground or a compound inside the next zone rather than waiting for the timer.
- Take height early in the mid-game. Teams on ridges see rotations coming; teams in valleys have to cross open ground.
- In the final circles, stay low. Rocks and small walls are often the only cover, so prone and crouch-peek more than on other maps.
Late-game tips
- Count teams by listening for shots and watching kill-feed locations before you commit to a push.
- Do not swap cover across open sand unless you have smoke or the other team is reloading.
- Use vehicles as cover in the last circles; park side-on to the most likely threat.
